St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office received information about possible illegal marijuana growing at a residence. After an investigation by the St. Clair County Narcotics Division numerous marijuana plants were found and seized from the residence. Marijuana, plants, a working grow light, moisture meter and numerous growing tools were confiscated.

These items were found at the residence, as well as marijuana inside a vehicle on the property. Estimated value of this illegal marijuana grow was $250,000.

An arrest warrant was issued for Walter Jones and he turned himself in to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office in Pell City on March 24.

He is currently at the Pell City Jail with a bond of $ 2,500 and the next court date will be April 27, 2016.
