DOROTHY MEEKS CHILDERS

DENVER, NC – Mrs. Dorothy Meeks Childers, 90, formerly of Pell City and Huntsville, AL, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Wexford House in Denver, NC.  She was born on April 8, 1925 in Webster’s Chapel, AL to the late Zedie and Nannie Hall Meeks.  Mrs. Childers was a retired elementary school teacher and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 55 years.

Mrs. Childers is survived by her children, Ronald Childers and Debra Childers Swing (Thomas); grandchildren, Jessica Hartman, Michael Hartman (Megan), Savannah Childers and Bryant Childers; great-granddaughter, Dakotah Childers; and great-grandson, Michael Hartman, Jr.
