The St. Clair County Economic Development Council (SCCEDC) approved the promotion of Jason Roberts from Project Manager to Assistant Director.
After three years of faithful service, the organization is excited to announce this shift in roles, as Roberts will be further involved in both workforce development and project management for the organization. Working with local industries, Roberts has held countless interviews to determine the St. Clair County’s issues and to work with partners to develop solutions. He will continue this work in his new role along with other responsibilities.
“I am very thankful for the support that our Board Members, Don, our staff, and our community partners have given to me,” said Roberts. “I look forward to continuing to work toward the EDC’s primary goal: “To create jobs, increase wealth, and improve the quality of life for St. Clair County Citizens.”
“Jason has been an incredible asset to our team since his first week,” said Don Smith, Executive Director of the SCCEDC. “He has attention to detail and love of this community is only matched by his dedication to our local educators and employers.”
“Jason Roberts has proved himself to be a true asset to the SCCEDC. It is likely past time that this is recognized officially,” said Joe Kelly, Chairman of the SCCEDC Board of Directors. “Jason is rooted into St. Clair County, and this is his passion. My congratulations as well as my challenge to him on his quest.”
