High school basketball teams to compete for county championship

The St. Clair County high school basketball tournament will begin Jan. 19. Schools within the county will compete against each other, playing for the championship game, which will be held Jan. 23.
Each round of varsity playoffs will be single-elimination, with the winning team moving on to the next round, to face another opponent. Two rounds of elimination games will be played before the championship game determines the winner. Five teams in the county will be participating in the playoffs.
