Ashville 41 Pisgah 26

Ashville had the Eagles down by only one point early in the third quarter, but Pisgah was eventually worn down by the outstanding play by Kenny Brady and Hunter Huckbay as Ashville closed out their season with a win at home last Friday.

It was a night of long touchdown runs for the Bulldogs, with a Brady 70-yard run that set up one score, followed by a 35-yard touchdown run in which Brady broke through two tackles and ‘broke’ the ankles of two more defenders on his way into the end zone. Huckbay scored two touchdowns, the first on a 61-yard counter that went the distance, followed by a Judd Mundy pass to Huckbay, who ran a slant and split Pisgah’s soft coverage for a 23-yard touchdown reception. Mudy also found Landon Cornutt on an 18-yard score in which Cornutt cut in, then down toward the corner of the end zone late in the game.
