W.B. HOLLIS

PELL CITY – Mr. W. B. Hollis, age 87, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015.  He was retired from the City of Pell City after 38 ½ years and was a member of Coosa Valley Church of God for 56 years.  After retirement, Mr. Hollis cut grass for 23 years.

Funeral service was October 5, 2015 at Coosa Valley Church of God at 11 a.m. Interment followed in the Coosa Valley Church of God Cemetery.  Officiating the service was Andy Lambert, Brian Reaves and John Davis.

Preceding Mr. Hollis in death was his mother Ada Pauline (Howard) Hollis; father, L. G. Hollis, sisters, Mary Ware, Molly Masters, Mildred Hawkins, and Louise Wolak; brothers, O. V. Holls and J. W. Hollis.

Mr. Hollis is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Hollis; one daughter, Katie Reaves (Wayne); one grandchild, Brian Reaves (Lisettet); two great-grandchildren, Khristian Reaves and Chase Reaves.

Pallbearers were Brian Reaves, Khristian Reaves, Chase Reaves, Charlie Hurst, Bob Hawkins and John Davis.

Honorary Pallbearers were Rev. Harlen Harris, Rev. Gene Hodo, and Dr. William McClanahan.
