Moody Highlights

Hayden 49 Moody 13

For the second straight week the Blue Devils were devastated by an untimely turnover (an interception by Hayden’s Garret Torbert) and the versatile quarterback play of Hayden’s Tim Curry as the visiting Wildcats blanked Moody 15-0 in the first half before extending their lead after intermission with two quick rushing touchdowns.

Down 28-0 late in the third quarter, the Blue Devils did manage to score on a quick strike from quarterback Christian Weems to receiver Max Archer.

Week Five Preview vs. Walter Wellborn (3-1)

Moody steps down two classifications as they travel to Anniston to take on a young Walter Wellborn team in a midseason non-regional matchup.

Led on offense by #11 Sophomore QB Austin McQueen, the Panthers have made great strides with their young offensive weapons, particularly #26, Sophomore running back Pat Harris, who has great vision and is a potent threat in the open field. As for the Panthers’ defense, Moody should be mindful of the very talented senior linebacker DJ Rhoden (#25) when planning their blocking keys at practice this week.
