Ragland Pharmacy has perfected it’s own brand of personal experience and quality service. After years of treating their customers as individuals, the staff at Ragland Pharmacy has built a loyal base and continues to expand their reach.
Pharmacist Dr. Kaylee St. John-Bean has been working at the pharmacy since 2012, the year Ragland Pharmacy opened. As co-owner, she is dedicated to providing customers with not only unmatched pharmaceutical care but also personal counseling related to their medications.

Dr. St. John-Bean has taken strides to ensure her customers receive the best possible care. Her main method for achieving that task is through patient education. She takes the time to talk with each customer, explain their condition, the medications they are on, and any options they may have. She calls the system “Medication Therapy Management,” and it has proven helpful for many of her customers.
Another way the staff at Ragland Pharmacy helps their customers stay satisfied is through simplifying their pickups.
“We have customers on 20 different medications, and we work with them to sync the cycles of those up so they only have to pick them up once a month,” Dr. St. John-Bean said.
Often, customers have several options when it comes to their medications. “There are times where generic brands of the medication are available, and it can save my customers a lot of money,” she said, adding that she and her staff are willing to do the work for their customers by taking it upon themselves to explore those options.
“If I feel there is a cheaper alternative that is equally effective, I will call their doctors and discuss their options to try and change the prescript to benefit them,” Dr. St. John-Bean said.
The experienced staff at Ragland Pharmacy understands what makes a pharmacy successful. “We take a standard of quality, not quantity. It’s not about how many prescriptions we call fill in a day, we want to talk with our customers and make sure they are getting the best and right treatment for them,” St. John-Bean added.
That personal service is what sets them apart. The staff of five can personally greet their loyal customers and check in with them to make sure they are satisfied with their medication.
The pharmacy offers a wide variety of over the counter medication, as well as prescription fillings, pet medication, braces and a drive-through.
