UPDATED: 2 dead, Pell City man injured in I-20 accident

Alabama State Troopers are currently investigating a fatal wreck that occurred on I-20 in Leeds his morning.
On March 9, a three-vehicle crash on I-20 West near Exit 140 claimed two lives and stopped traffic moving into Birmingham for hours. According to Trooper Chuck Daniel, public information officer with the Alabama Department of Public Safety’s (DPS’s) Birmingham and Jacksonville Division, the accident occurred around 6 a.m. and lanes were reopened between 9-10 a.m.
According to a release from the DPS, the crash claimed the lives of a Birmingham man and an Oxford man. Canaan John Richoux, 29, of Birmingham was killed when the 2012 Ford Mustang he was driving crossed the interstate median and struck a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Adrian Cantrell Coleman, 29, of Oxford. Richoux and Coleman died at the scene.
A third driver, Mark Anthony Sides, 45, of Pell City, was injured and transported to St. Vincent’s East. Nothing further is available as Alabama Troopers continue to investigate.
Traffic on I-20 backed up from the accident site for hours, reaching east of the Leeds / Moody Exit.
