When officers confronted Mayford K. Davis, 69, about being naked in the parking lot of a Texas middle school, he reportedly told officers that he was taking advantage of a warm day to sunbathe.

According to police, a caller in Weatherford, Texas complained after seeing a naked man near Tison Middle School around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26.

Officers issued Davis a citation for disorderly conduct – indecent exposure.

While both the Weatherford Independent School District and the WISD location manager for First Student, Inc., which provides bus transportation, on Monday declined to address whether Davis was an employee, the Weatherford Democrat confirmed with two of the man’s coworkers that Davis did work as a bus driver.

A WISD spokesman said Thursday that, effective Oct. 27, the day following the incident on WISD property, Davis no longer transports WISD students.

The Democrat was unable to reach Davis for comment.
