Families in Trussville and the surrounding area now have access to a wide range of tutoring and test prep services from one of the nation’s leading supplemental education providers.
Citing Trussville’s larger population center, Sylvan Learning recently moved its Roebuck location to the Valley View shopping center on North Chalkville Road.
“Over the past decade, Trussville has cemented itself as the heart of the tri-county area,”  regional executive director Cathy Parrill said. “Our move directly reflects the populationgrowth of Trussville and the surrounding communities.”
While a student from any geographic location can attend tutoring sessions at the new location, the center expects to draw students primarily from cities and communities like Fultondale, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds, Moody, Pinson, Springville and Trussville. Sylvan also operates another Birmingham-area center in Hoover.
The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the center’s official grand opening on May 19.
“We are very excited to welcome a respected name like Sylvan to Trussville,” Executive Director Diane Poole said.
Sylvan expects to host a less-formal grand opening celebration sometime after the Memorial Day holiday, however parents and students are encouraged to visit the center at any time.
For enrollment or other inquiries, parents should contact center director Davis Wooley at 205-508-5172 or daviswooley@tlearning.org.
