Students at Coosa Valley Elementary School enjoyed a visit Wednesday from pilot Joel Sturdevant and the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon.  The event was organized by RE/MAX Hometown Properties to demonstrate how hot air balloons operate and provide a history lesson about flight.  Sturdevant even took some students and faculty members on brief excursions in the balloon, which is scheduled to appear again over Lake Logan Martin at sunset Monday in commemoration of Memorial Day.  “The Pell City school system is so fortunate to have committed partners such as RE/MAX to reach new heights,” Dr. Michael Barber, superintendent of schools, said.
