Stage Stores, owners of the local Goody’s retailer, chose the Animal Shelter of Pell City (APSCI) to be the recipient of its 30 Days of Giving Campaign during March.
This campaign allowed customers to make a donation to ASPCI during their visit to the store. During the month, ASPCI volunteers (and pets) were able to do meet-and-greets with customers. ASPCI received close to $950 from Goody’s and the community during this campaign.
Members of Pell City High School’s Interact Club recently held a pet food drive for ASPCI. The students made the delivery last week, bringing in almost 650 pounds of pet food, which will help ASPCI feed the shelter pets, pets in foster care, and those in the community that receive food from the Pet Pantry. This is an annual event for the club,, and members continue to set new records with their donations every year.
Also in recent months, Aaron’s Sales and Lease of Pell City donated $500 to ASPCI to sponsor the Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program (SNAP).
