The Outlet Shops of Grand River (OSGR) is at again—giving back to the community.
Turning what many consider a day of doldrums otherwise known as spring cleaning into a way to give to those in need.
In its second year OSGR is hosting its “Spring Out” event.
They’re asking you to clean out your closets and in return receive discounts for donating 10 or more gently used items.
All donated items given from Friday, March 21st through Sunday, March 23rd will benefit King’s Home.
The first 1,000 donators (who bring the required 10 like new items) will also receive a $25 gift card.
Over 12,000 pieces were donated to “Spring Out 2013,” and the OSGR team is looking forward to increasing those numbers, which enable more people in need to be reached.
“Spring Out is a special event for all of us at OSGR, and we are thrilled to once again support the mission and purpose of King’s Home,” said Roslyn Roda, Director of Marketing and Tourism for OSGR. “We ask individuals to clean out their closets, give what they can onsite and receive shopping rewards in return.”
Spring Out supporters are asked to bring their donations to the OSGR food court where they’re provided with wristbands discounts and sales exclusive to only those choosing to give and receive.
Making it their mission to “serve and glorify God by providing Christ-centered homes and services in which compassion and competence combine to meet the needs of women, children and families,” King’s Home continues moving forward, focused on their motto, “Where Hope Lives.”
“It is only because of the generosity of businesses like OSGR and others within our community that we are able to provide hope and healing to the hurting,” said King’s Home president Lew Burdette. “The 2013 ‘Spring Out’ event was such a huge blessing to King’s Home, and we are very grateful and excited the Outlets have chosen to partner with us again this year.”
Styling shoppers with the ultimate accessory, an opportunity to give back, OSGR looks forward to seeing you this weekend as everyone starts to “Spring Out.”
Don’t worry about showing up in your baseball cap, favorite collegiate tee and jeans; OSGR has 27 stores that can keep you moving fashion forward.
