Dora Ione Coshatt

Coshatt, Dora Ione former longtime resident of Pell City, AL passed away at her current home in Green Mountain, North Carolina on March 4, 2014.

She was born August 25, 1927 in Leeds, AL to parents, Lawrence E. Armstrong and Sudie Nichols Armstrong.

She was married to Dr. Roy Coshatt for 53 years, who preceded her in death in 1998.

She lead a very active and involved life with family, work and community.  She was active in her church, Green Mountain Presbyterian.

She retired from the Department of Army.  At one time she had a Ladies Apparel Shop in Pell City, Ione’s Under The Oaks.  She owned a Craft and Antique Store in Burnsville, NC.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Schoen and husband Cliff Schoen; son, Ron Coshatt and wife Donna Coshatt; two granddaughters, Ashley Burford and Jennifer Yarbrough; one step grandson, Chris Kounelis, seven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation was held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 6 PM until 8 PM.

Funeral Services were held at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2 PM with burial at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
