Two dozen headed to state

A total of 24 local varsity wrestlers will compete this weekend in the AHSAA state tournament at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville. Matches will begin Friday morning, with the medal brackets concluding Saturday afternoon.
Grapplers from Ashville, Springville, Moody, Leeds, St. Clair County, and Pell City high schools qualified for the state tournament during sectional tournaments in Birmingham and Montgomery last week.
Following is a list of the local state qualifiers.
