Jerry Ryan, Bobby Horton and Brad Ryan have been having a good time with their audiences for more than 35 years.
They always pack the house, and Three On A String is expected to fill the Pell City Center for Education and the Performing Arts when it appears in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 22.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students.
Three On A String’s show has evolved into a well-timed, musically interesting and funny presentation with their mix of bluegrass, country, old favorites and comedy.  From the first song to the standing ovation, these three talented Alabama Music Hall of Famers will entertain you.
Jerry Ryan will also be doing his truly unique musical one-man comedy act.   This show is so unique because of a set of homebuilt, one of a kind drums that are played entirely with Jerry’s feet, which allows him to perform simultaneously on the guitar, equipped with two bass strings, and the harmonica. This leads to music that not only sounds like but actually is a four-piece band.  You’ve got to see this show to believe it.  Jerry takes advantage of his more than three decades of experience to present music, stand-up comedy, and timely quips.  He tells his audience right up front, “I’m here to have fun, and you might as well join in.”
Also, while not everyone believes in angels, it is difficult to deny that Kelli Johnson and Michelle Cone have Heavenly voices. Frequently compared to Alison Krauss or Emmylou Harris, Michelle Cone captures audiences with her heartfelt and hauntingly clear vocals, while Johnson rounds out the duo with diversity that can belt out soulful powerhouse vocals or deliver a ballad so tenderly it’ll make you cry.
Though not related, these young women share a performing style that rivals some of the top family vocalist groups, with tight harmonies that seem to blend effortlessly. With writing abilities reminiscent of a young Dolly Parton, these ladies wow crowds with a mixture original tunes and one-of-a-kind renditions of favorite covers. Along with mandolinist Jason Bailey and bassist Brandon Peeples, they have toured the Southeast with Americana/Country band Sweetwater Road and teamed with Brad Ryan of Three on a String to record a gospel/Praise and Worship album, Hear My Words as Johnson, Cone and Ryan. Kelli also performs as a solo singer/songwriter act.
