After fighting the good fight the Leeds Green Wave football team brought their 2013 season to a close today with a loss against Madison Academy in the 3A State Championship playoff game.

The final score was 31-14 in Madiaon Academy’s favor.

At half-time the Green Wave had yet to put points on the board with 14-0 score.

In the third quarter, Leeds worked to redeem themselves, scoring 7 points with 7:12 left to play.  But Madison Academy continued to push ahead, making the score 21-7 with 2:08 left. 

With 50 seconds remaining the third, Leeds scored again, putting another 7 points on the board, the score 21-14.

Madison Academy scored a win the fourth with 10 more points, the final score 31-14.
