Pumpkins, a petting zoo and pony rides are just a few of the festivities featured at the 10th Annual Oktoberfest under the trees in Moody City Park, Saturday, October 5th.
Hosted by the Moody Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC), Oktoberfest looks to offer area residents with tons of fall fun.
“I’m really excited about the two bands headlining this year,” said MACC Executive Director Andrea Machen. “The Jeff Otwell Band and Silk E Smooth Band will be featured on our BancorpSouth Bank stage.”
MACC Vice President Brian Worley is looking forward to the Aaron’s Tailgate Tent.
“We will have televisions and couches set up with all of the ballgames on, so we won’t have to miss a snap!”
In it’s first year to partner with Aaron’s, the MACC looks forward to having the tailgate tent as an Oktoberfest staple.
Looking forward to participating in their first Oktoberfest, Troy Walker, General Manager with Aaron’s is looking forward to some good ole family fun.
“Our main goal is to get out there and have a great time through reaching out to the community. We’ll have TV’s set up for the kids and with sports. It’ll be a great family atmosphere.”
Other newcomers to this year’s event are an antique car show and a dunking booth.
This family friendly festival is free to the public and will have a park filled with arts and crafts vendors, inflatables, train rides, appearances by the Chick-Fil-A cow and Eurobungy just to name a few things on the day’s line-up.
“I’m looking forward to the entertainment lined up this year,” said MACC Second Vice President Dawn Moore. “With all the great vendors and entertainment it will be a fabulous day.”
Oktoberfest is about enjoying your community with family and friends through fun things that welcome in fall.
Veronica Anderson will kick off the event with the National Anthem at 10 a.m.
The MACC looks forward to seeing you there!
