4-H student earns award

- Katie Hollingsworth, a fifth grade student at Ashville Middle School, recetly won second place in the 2013 State 4-H Dairy Poster Contest, Junior Division. Students from across the state submitted posters that were both creative and educational after learning about the dairy industry and the nutritional value of dairy products. The the for this year's contest was "Dairy Packs Power." Chris Thomas, 4-H Agent Assistant, presented her with a ribbon and $50 prize provided by the American Dairy Association (ADA) of Alabama.
