Ladies believing, understanding, guiding and serving (LadyBUGS) extended their mission this year along with their giving Christmas spirit and awarded local organizations much appreciated donations.
Delivering gifts in the form of “big checks,” LadyBUGS donated $250 to Leeds Outreach and $250 to Shepherd Supply in Moody.
Both sponsored kids for Christmas and felt blessed to have all of their “angels”
provided with Christmas gifts.
Leeds Outreach assisted 178 children in the Leeds area with Christmas presents this year while Shepherd Supply provided 160 Moody children with gifts and 90 families with Christmas dinner.
“God is so good,” said Leeds Outreach volunteer, Carolyn Harry.
“This is really awesome,” said Shepherd Supply director, Dawn Ellard. “What a great blessing.”
Creating a family atmosphere, Ellard says Shepherd Supply is about teaching lessons and helping people do better.
“Thank you just doesn’t cover it,” said chairman of the Leeds Outreach board.
At this time when miracles seem to happen, both organizations continue to be lifted up by their communities.
“It’s amazing,” said Harry. “No matter what the need is, this community comes together.”
