The Leeds Historical Society invites the public to drop by the Jonathan Bass House Museum at 1129 Montevallo Road in Leeds between 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, for a Christmas Open House.

Guests will have an opportunity to tour the museum of local history.

The historic house sits on one of the earliest dwelling sites along the Montevallo to Ashville stagecoach road that existed as early as 1820.

Refreshments will be served, and admission is free.

The Leeds Historical Society is a non-profit organization that meets on the second Sunday of every other month.

The group’s next meeting will be held on Feb. 10, 2013.
