Creating innovative Christmas décor was the name of the reindeer game crafters were playing at Odenville Public Library (OPL).

On display now through the end of December “Altered Art” by OPL Director Betty Corley, Assistant Director Robin Bell, Assistant Corey Dunn and friend of the library Vinetta Blow can be seen.

Giving old books new flair, this group has given new meaning to decking the halls.

Also seen throughout OPL is artwork by members of the Odenville Art Club.

Photography, pencil drawings, watercolor and oil paintings are featured prominently above the book cases as you enter the library.

To discover your own creative outlet, join the OPL staff Thursday, December 6 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. as ages 12 and up make their own Christmas ornaments.

Ornaments and paint are provided.

The staff of the Odenville Library looks forward to seeing you at their “Make & Take” event.

OPL is located at 200 Alabama Street across from Odenville Town Hall.
