Veterans’ support group meeting today

Lakeside Hospice and MAPS have joined together with Eden Westside Baptist Church to host a support group for veterans and military spouses.

The group meets today for brunch from 9-11 a.m. at the Eden Westside café.  Free childcare will be provide.  The event is free to anyone who is the spouse of a veteran or someone serving in the Armed Forces.

“This is honestly a fellowship to bring spouses together to connect and understand there are others going through the same things they are,” Lakeside Hospice Mission Coordinator Teresa Carden said.

This group is a branch-off of the Veterans Cornerstone Café group.

“We realized that spouses also needed support as well,” Carden said.
