Joseph Calvin Smith, age 69 of Vandiver, AL passed away September 5.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Vandiver Church of God with burial at Union Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was a member of Vandiver Church of God and retired from M & B Hangers in Leeds, AL.  He was preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Parker and granddaughters, Michelle Smith, Lisa Smith and Danielle Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Smith, daughters, Sharon Fowler (Danny), Stacey Kerr (Lynn), sons, Troy Smith (Linda), Chris Smith (Jennifer), sisters, Glenda Shockley, Bonnell Schell (Eugene), Elizabeth Robinson (Roy), brothers, Luvon Smith (Faye), Len Smith (Liz), 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 9 PM on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Vandiver Church of God.
