Last Thursday 27 year-old Adrian Glass of Moody plead guilty to two counts of capitol murder.

In July 2009 Glass shot his father, Jimmie Edwards Glass, 51, and mother, Jackie Denise Glass, 49.  The couple was found in their home on James Taylor Road in Moody.

Authorities apprehended Glass in South Dakota on Aug. 5, 2009 where he was taken into custody and questioned following a manhunt that lasted for several days.

In a written statement, Glass confessed to killing his parents.  Glass wrote that a combination of alcohol, unemployment, sarcastic comments made to him by his mother along with a t-shirt she gave him contributed to his decision to murder his parents.  Glass demonstrated remorse for his actions in his statement, writing that he hoped other family members would be able to forgive him one day.

Glass’ will go to trial before a jury on June 18.
