Agricultural program set for Sept. 13

The Coosa Valley Resource Conservation and Development Council, the USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) will be presenting a program concerning the Farm Bill and the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP). The meeting will be held Tuesday, September 13 at 6 pm at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 50 th. Zion Road, Cropwell, Alabama.
The program will address concerns with cropland including vegetables production, plasticulture, hoop houses, specialty crops, etc; pastureland – animals grazing systems; forest health and wildlife; water quality and other topics.
The meeting is open to all producers but is designed for new farmers, people with limited income, small scale farmers, the socially disadvantaged and community members. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
