Local motorcycle enthusiasts will be able to embark on an 185 mile trip through the heart of Alabama’s tornado damage to raise funds for disaster relief during the first-ever Ride for Relief on Sept. 10.

Beginning at B. R. Williams Trucking near the Talladega Superspeedway, riders will embark at 10 a.m., travelling through Lincoln, Ohatchee, Rainbow City and Cullman before taking a lunch break. From there, they will continue through Hanceville Blountsville, Oneonta, Ashville, through the Shoal Creek Valley, Ragland and back to Talladega.

The registration fee is $25 per bike (not per person) and will go to the American Red Cross disaster relief fun. Registration is open to all riders at least 20 years of age or older.

Pre-registration is available online at alredcross.org, with Ride for Relief under the Events heading. Registration the day of the ride will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
