St. Vincent’s Family Care Moody is open for patients beginning today.

“This is part of St. Vincent’s Health System’s commitment to provide quality health care close to home,” said Dr. Kurtis Eaton, the center’s full-time physician.  “Our health care family has an extensive network of skilled physicians and associates, as well as the most advanced technology available.”

Located at 2050A Village Drive, off Moody Parkway, the center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays offering adult, adolescent, and geriatric medical care; gynecology; annual physicals for sports, school, and camps; care of such minor injuries as sprains and cuts; chronic care for diabetes and hypertension; laboratory testing; and radiology.  

Dr. Ronald Bousman will serve as a part-time physician on the center’s staff.  He and Eaton have a combined total of 50 years of experience in practicing family medicine.

The center’s phone number is 205-640-1793.  Appointments are encouraged, although walk-in patients will be accepted.  

Family Care Moody is the third center St. Vincent’s has opened during the past month, following new facilities in Hoover and Trussville.  “It is backed by the resources of five facilities:  St. Vincent’s St. Clair, St. Vincent’s Birmingham, St. Vincent’s Blount, St. Vincent’s East, and One Nineteen Health and Wellness,” Eaton said.
