Within the next three to six months, the city of Moody website, moodyalabama.gov, will receive a fresh, new look.

During their regular meeting Monday, the city council approved expenditures to upgrade the site.

“We’ve been reviewing web companies for a few months, and we want to upgrade the web site so it’s nicer, neater and more professional,” Councilman Phillip Deason said.

The council approved an initial expenditure of up to $2,000 for Local Government Corporation to design, host and maintain a new city of Moody website. Deason said the cost will likely be closer to $1,700. The city will also be responsible for $1,200 annually for support.

Mayor Pro Tem Linda Crow will serve as a local web administrator.

Deason estimated within the next three to six months, the new website will be functional, but the website currently in place will remain there until the new site is ready.
