The National Federation of Independent Business, Alabama’s leading small business association, has endorsed Sen. Del Marsh (R-Anniston) and candidates in 80 state legislative races.
The endorsements were made by the NFIB/Alabama SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.
“Our members support candidates who support small business, regardless of party affiliation,” said Rosemary Elebash, state director of NFIB/Alabama. “Small business is the backbone of Alabama’s economy, and it’s critically important to have a Legislature that supports free enterprise,”
“We believe these candidates are committed to helping small businesses create jobs and lead Alabama out of this recession,” she said.
NFIB’s endorsement is critical to these candidates. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB has pledged it will activate its grassroots network on behalf of these candidates. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small business issues.
Marsh also picked up endorsements from:
Alabama Retail Association
Business Council of Alabama
Alfa of Calhoun County
Police Benevolent Association
Forestry Association
Realtors Association
Alabama Truckers Association
