Stock car racer Tony Stewart visited Pell City tuesday along with a host of Alabama State Troopers.

The troopers were in town conducting a safety and driver’s license checkpoint at the corner of highways 231 and 34.

Stewart was onhand as part of a Talladega Superspeedway promotion that awarded drivers who passed the safety inspection. He gave away many tickets to the Amp Energy 500 race on October 31.
