Services for Johnny Augusta Watlington, Jr., age 79, of Pell City, AL were held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Cropwell Baptist Church with Rev. William E. “Bill” Teague and Rev. Paul Brasher officiating.  Interment was in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Trussville.

Mr. Watlington passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

He is survived by his wife Sharon S. Watlington; daughter, Melissa (Jeffrey) Downs of Pell City; granddaughter, Jessica Downs of Pell City; and  grandson, Jonathon Downs of Pell City.

Mr. Watlington was a US Air Force veteran.  He served as Chairman of the Deacons, as a Sunday School Teacher, and in other capacities at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Trussville.  He was retired from Eanes Dental Lab after 25 years of service.
