KidSuccess Ministries is now enrolling Springville students in grade 5-8 for their outreach ministry. The program will provide mentoring and homework help at reasonable rates. Free tutoring and homework help in basic math skills, test review and note taking sponsored by Second Chance, a non-profit organization, will be held at the Morning Star Baptist Church Educational Building on Mondays and Thursdays for grade 5-9 from 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. On Saturdays, grades 10-12 will be tutored on note taking and college prep skills from 10 a.m. until noon. Chapter # 27, Disabled American Veterans sponsors van transportation for veterans with appointments at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. Passengers should report to the van at the St. Clair St. Vincent Hospital at 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday to sign in. The van leaves promptly at 6:45 a.m. and returns when all the passengers have completed their appointments for the day. Now you can give that special gift of love in a Gift Certificate from the Performing Arts Center in Pell City. To order a gift certificate is simple, plus you can order in any denomination good for any show presented in the spring at the Pell City Performing Arts Theater. You may order by phone at 205-338-1974. Simply specify the amount, the person or persons receiving your gift, their address and the message you would like to convey. You can pick up the gift certificates at our office, or we can mail it to you personally, or it can be mailed direct to the recipient. We do not accept credit cards but personal checks are acceptable. Our office hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday if you wish to visit us.
