In June, the Pell City Patrol Division made 63 misdemeanor arrests and six felony arrests. The police department worked the Block Party, took part in the civil air patrol exercise, received training on new software, executed one search warrant, recovered a $42,000 skid steer and returned narcotics calls.

There were five burglaries, five breaking and entering automobiles crimes, 13 felony thefts, four white collar crimes, one felony assault and one sex offense in June.

P.C.P.D. took two forged scrips, one gram of meth, two ounces of marijuana, quarter ounce of crack cocaine and one minor in possession of tobacco off of the streets.

Animal Control picked up 13 cats, 18 dogs and four wildlife animals.

Police volunteers worked 235 hours, helping with incidents like suspicious person, vehicle assistance, fire and alarm calls, citizen transports and blocked roads by trees and a cow.

The marine patrol unit patrolled for 50 hours, made more than 42 contacts and assisted in three large events.
