Lady Panthers JV do well in first tournament

The Pell City junior varsity Lady Panthers finished third in the Logan Martin Soccer Invitational last weekend, winning one game, tying one, and losing two.
Hoover won the tournament, finishing undefeated. Hewitt-Trussville finished second, Smith Station was fourth, and Gadsden City came in fifth.
“It was a beautiful weekend, weather-wise, for a soccer tournament,” said Jeff Samoranski, the Lady Panthers’ JV coach. “Many players, parents, guests, and coaches commented on how well set-up and run the tournament was. All of them want to come back again next year. Hopefully, we will continue to see growth in the soccer community, the high school program, and with this tournament.”
