In the opening varsity girls’ county tournament game, Ragland dropped St. Clair County 74-52.

A 21-8 lead at the end of the first quarter quickly became 40-18 at the half as the Lady Purple Devils dominated in all aspects of the game.

For the Saints, Kreshala Mickens led all scorers with 30 points and Teara Williams added seven.

Ragland’s Emily Church scored 19 points, Brooke Evans scored 16 and Paige Gann scored 14.
