The Lady Bulldogs beat the Lady Saints 73-50 in Odenville. Ashville’s Kim Fuller scored 16, Jacie Tipton scored 13 and Bianca Bothwell added ten.

The eighth-ranked Ashville Lady Bulldogs had no trouble putting away the Lady Blue Devils early on Monday in Moody and won 59-27.

The score was 19-4 after the first quarter and 31-9 at the half. Moody committed eight first half turnovers which led to easy buckets for Ashville.

Alyson Tipton scored all 27 of Moody’s points in a stellar performance despite the loss.

For Ashville, Taylor Coffee led with eight points, Bothwell and Destiny Montgomery each added seven. Every player scored for the Lady Bulldogs in the win.

“With the weather layoff we didn’t play as sharp tonight, at least I hope it was the layoff,” Ashville coach Dale Beason said afterwards. “We played too much in spurts and not as consistent.”

Locust Fork visited Ashville and got beat by 20 points last week, 62-42. Tipton scored 13 points, Bothwell scored 11, Coffee and Fuller added ten points each.
