Aliant Bank will host a month-long food drive to benefit the individuals and families served by the Christian Love Pantry. The month long Food Drive will kick off with a cook out on September 4, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. the Aliant Bank Pell City branch located at 1930 Martin Street South. A display and collection container will be set up in the branch during September. Canned food items and non-perishable items of any kind, as well as monetary donations, may be dropped off at the ALIANT Bank’s Pell City location from September 4, 2009 – September 30, 2009.

Staffed by volunteers, The Christian Love Pantry supported over 2,000 families in 2008 and has seen an increase in request over the last months. Every effort is made to help end this crucial problem. As a bank that is dedicated strictly to serving Alabamians, sponsoring this local food drive means a great deal to us. “We’re excited for the opportunity to help improve the quality of life for local families and individuals in need,” says Doug Williamson, St. Clair County President of Aliant Bank.
