A renewed search effort for a woman who has been missing for more than two months was started last Saturday. Kelly Henderson Howard, 41, was last seen on June 2 at Family Dentistry in Riverside where she was employed as a dental hygienist.

Members of American Legion Post 155 in Bynum, and members and guests of the American Legion Rider’s Association convened in the Dollar General Store parking lot in Riverside next to the dental office where Kelly Howard was last seen.

Legion members passed out new missing person posters to be posted around the area. Also, these posters will be sent to other Legion members to be posted throughout the state.

Howard’s father is a member of American Legion Post 155 and she is originally from the Bynum area.

Legion Riders split up into groups in an effort to spread the missing posters in targeted areas in different parts of the state.

According to the Facebook group “Help Find Kelly Henderson Howard—MISSING” posters for Howard have been seen as far east as Georgia and as far west as Texas. This group was formed shortly after Howard’s disappearance to keep friends and family updated on any progress in the investigation.

Childhood friends of Howard, Susan Nierling of Atlanta, Cristy Hicks of Wellborn, and Karen Cox of Munford, who graduated from Wellborn High School with Howard in 1986, started the group. The three friends had attended school with Howard since they entered first grade.
