Lady Tigers 4-0 at Pisgah Tourney

On Monday, the 5A Springville Lady Tigers were downed 3-1 by 6A Gardendale on the road.

Junior pitcher Savanna Hennings had six strikeouts and allowed five hits while at the plate Kirsten went two for three with a double and Danyelle Martin was one for three with an RBI.

Springville 3, Pisgah 0

The Lady Tigers increased their record to 30-13-1 last weekend after downing both Pisgah and Buckhorn at the Pisgah tournament.

The Lady Tigers knocked over the No. 1 Class 3A Lady Black Bears after getting three runners across the plate in the fourth inning.

Hennings took to the circle and struck out six batters and was two for two at the plate with an RBI and a double. Brittany Dunn went one for two, as did Ashley Wise and Gipson. Gipson had a homer and two RBIs in that game.

Springville 1, Buckhorn 0

Dunn had the game winning squeeze bunt single in the sixth that put Ashley Wise over home plate. Taylor Earley was one for two that game.

Hennings had 11 K’s against Buckhorn.

Springville 13, Hayden 1

The Lady Tigers got their bats going and Hennings had 12 strikeouts against their 5A rival.

Top hitters in that game were: Kirsten Gipson, who was three for four and had three RBIs, one run and a double; Tanner Earley, who went three for three with a double and a single, one RBI and three runs; Sydne Waldrop, who went two for three and had a run and Kelsey Ray, who was two for four and had a double, an RBI and a run.

Springville 0, Moody 3

The Lady Tigers were downed by their 5A county rival a week ago Tuesday. Mallory Waldrop took to the circle and pitched before McKinley Tribble took over innings three through five before returning duties to Waldrop, who had one strikeout. Tribble had four K’s.

Sydne Waldrop went one for three, as did Ashley Wise and Taylor and Tanner Earley; Katelyn Moore was one for two in that game.
