Pell City Panthers ›› @ Lincoln Golden Bears

Even though Pell City’s opening opponent is in a lower classification, Lincoln could pose a few challenges for Coach Brooks Dampeer’s team.

Coming off a Class 5A Region 6 championship in 2014, the Golden Bears return absolutely loaded on the offensive side of the ball. Returning senior Zay Caldwell at quarterback and junior Donte Rivers at running back will be balanced by a corps of wide receivers in seniors Devonte Whiteside, Andrew Threatt and Zeke Morgan.

If Lincoln opens up their passing attack, the Panthers may have a lot more problems than they had in the 2014 contest, which was easily won by Pell City.
