All About Ashville: Tunes Around Town

Ashville is holding their annual fundraising event Tunes Around Town on July 6 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the town square.

The bands Park Avenue and Hutch Edwards will be performing.  All proceeds go to Ashville High School’s Bulldog Band.  It is being hosted by the Band Boosters and is the largest fundraiser for the band.

There is much more than music to be enjoyed by those who attend.

For the automobile aficionados, there will be a car show featuring vintage “horseless carriages. “ There will be inflatables and games for the kids and a flag ceremony and fireworks for everyone!  Vendors will be there selling arts and crafts and food.

So, wear your dancing shoes. Bring the kids, big purses and appetites!  This is a rain or shine event, so you may want to bring an umbrella as well.

Tunes around Town is still in its planning stages. They are still accepting vendors. Check the Ashville website and Facebook page whether you plan to be a patron or a vendor.

And remember, it isn’t just an opportunity to have fun. Every penny spent is a penny earned for Ashville’s Bulldog Band and their opportunity to learn, play, perform and benefit from all that a musical education, teamwork and showmanship affords. It is an opportunity to support your community, and give yourselves yet another reason yet another reason to be proud.

So, go, listen and dance.  And, when you pay the piper, you’ll know it’s going to a good cause.

Have fun, Ashville!
