Volunteers needed!

August 8 is the last day to sign up as a volunteer for the 2015 Alabama Toughman Half Triathlon and the inaugural Logan Martin Blues and BBQ Bash and be guaranteed a full packet. Those donating time this year will receive a free T-shirt to wear while serving, but sizes need to be confirmed as soon as possible.

For more information about services needed and how you can help, email Holly Murphy at hmm459@gmail.com. If you’d like to sign up to help, send her your name, email, address and shirt size.

EVENT

The 2015 Logan Martin Blues and BBQ Bash, held in conjunction with the 2015 Toughman Alabama Half Triathlon, will feature a full day of events at Lakeside Park in Pell City on August 15.

TOUGHMAN ALABAMA

Toughman Alabama is presented by Metro Bank and Team Magic. The swim will take place in the peaceful Logan Martin Lake, the bike will be on rural, country roads with mostly flat terrain, and the run will be an out-and-back course with a few rolling hills. For more, visit team-magic.com.

Presented by the Greater Pell City Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pell City, highlights of this year’s event include performances by sought-after blues musicians from the Birmingham-metro and Pell City areas including Todd Simpson and Mojo Child. Other attractions include a barbecue cookoff, dozens of food and retail vendors, beverage offerings, arts exhibits, kid-friendly attractions and much more. For more, visit pellcitychamber.com.
