Moody v Leeds in spring scrimmage

The Moody Blue Devils ended their two weeks of spring practice with a road trip across the bridge to Leeds for a Spring Game. The Blue Devils left with a 25 – 0 shutout over the Green Wave.

Logan Cole got the scoring started with an interception return for a touchdown. Quarterback Conner Rush scored the first of his two touchdowns of the night in the second quarter. Terrance Moore scored from 6 yards out right before the half. Joel McCormick got a sack right before the half to keep Moody’s lead at 19 – 0 at halftime.

Conner Rush scored one more in the third quarter, this time from two yards out. The extra point failed, but Moody had a comfortable 25 – 0 lead. That would be the final in what we hope to be the first of many spring games between the two schools.

Moody goes into the summer with momentum. The workouts will start soon and will go all summer until the Blue Devils take the field for fall practice in August. Moody will play at Albertville for a Fall Jamboree before opening the season with the Etowah Blue Devils at home.
