The Springville Public Library received a visit from Belle from Beauty and the Beast for Storytime, Wednesday, June 7. The book was The Enchanted Princesses. Storytime at the Springville Library is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and includes a story, craft and snacks.
The City of Springville hosted a free, family, outdoor movie night at Big Springs Park, June 9 with a showing of “Sing.” The turn out was a success with close to 500 attendees. Many local churches helped make this event possible with the city.

Springville UMC will host “Emoji’s” Expressing Yourself God’s Way VBS, June 12-15, Monday through Thursday, 6-8 p.m. for 3K through 6th grade.
First Baptist Church Springville is hosting Summer Blast at Big Springs Park, Monday, June 12 to Wednesday, June 14 from 6-8 p.m., free pizza served from 5-6 p.m. #FBCSUMMERBLAST
“Gadgets and Gizmos” VBS at North Valley Church will be July 9-13, each night at 6:30 p.m.
Flow Church in Ashville will host “Shipwrecked” VBS, July 12-14 at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. each night. Register at www.kidblitz.org.
Community Events
Payless Drug Store in Springville is hosting a “Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness” Campaign for the month of June. They encourage residents to register with The Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at the store or online.
Walmart in Springville will host “Wellness Day,” June 17 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Activities include free health screenings, blood drive, food vendors, car show, samples, and kids games.

The Big Springs Park Splash Pad will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. Cost is $1 per person, three years and under are free.

The Springville Farmers Market on Main Street (across from PNC Bank) will be open until November 11th every Friday from 3-6p.m. and Saturdays from 8a.m.-12p.m. with booths from local produce vendors and craft and art vendors.

The Springville Civil Air Patrol meets every Tuesday from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. The age requirement is 12-18 years of age and adults may also join as senior members. Cadets learn leadership skills, aerospace, character development, as well as team work. Cadets also learn piloting skills.
