Talladega seniors take a trip through biblical history
A group of Talladega seniors got to take a journey through biblical history.
Brian Hutton, Park Aquatics and Senior Program director at the Talladega Parks and Recreation Department, took a group of seniors this past November to Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum located respectively in Williamstown and Petersburg, Kentucky.
“It was fascinating,” said Barbara Collins, one of the participants.
Spanning 510 feet long and 84 feet wide, the Ark Encounter features a full-sized recreation of the biblical Noah’s Ark, including a zoo as well as numerous exhibits. Its sister attraction, the Creation Museum, allows visitors to venture through the biblical past. The 75,000 square foot facility highlights attractions such as a planetarium, petting zoo and botanical garden recreating the Garden of Eden.
“The history of the Bible vividly came to life,” Collins said.
