Leeds/Moody News: Paint the Town Purple for Relay for Life

Next week is Administrative Assistants Week, which gives us an opportunity to let everyone who works in an administrative role know how much they are valued and appreciated. These professionals are the ones who hold it all together. They’re the glue. They’re the ones who stay on top of things and keep their bosses looking good.

I saw a quote recently that said, “Do you want to talk to the boss or to the one who know what’s going on?” That pretty much says it all. Although the boss does know what’s going on, he or she depends heavily on administrative professionals to keep up with the fine details day to day. Happy Administrative Assistants Week!

I had the honor of speaking to the Springville Area Chamber of Commerce group at Springville Café last week on the topic of “Social Media Basics for Business.” As many of you know, I work with local companies in the greater St. Clair County area to provide business and marketing services in addition to writing this weekly news column. Social media marketing is part of that equation. If you have an interest in learning more, please feel free to visit my website at adrBMS.com.

Relay for Life teams will “Paint the Town Purple” April 16-May 21. To show your support in the fight against cancer, you can help “Paint the Town Purple” by donating to the Relay for Life of Greater St. Clair County and receive a decorative purple bow to display inside or outside your home or business. Business bows are $25 and residential bows are $15. This is a great way to show community support for the Relay for Life event scheduled for May 21 at Moody City Park. To order your bow, please contact Melissa Fraser at (205) 640.0307 or mfraser@moodyalabama.gov. All proceeds will support the American Cancer Society.
