Thankfulness abounds at Leeds Elementary

This year, students at Leeds Elementary School shared what they are thankful for this holiday season. Family, friends and teachers are just a few of the things that make the list. Some of the students celebrated the holiday with Thanksgiving themed feasts and class parties, while others dressed up in the spirit of the season. Amid their class festivities, the students shared what they were most thankful for in their own lives.


Students thankful for a day spent with family and friends

Kristin Price’s first grade class is excited to celebrate Thanksgiving with their family and friends. Price’s class is thankful for teeth, fans, stars, soldiers, teachers, school, America, and Mrs. Price’s baby that’s on the way

Thankful all the time

Cassie Pulliam’s first grade class is all smiles about Thanksgiving! They have been working on their “Thankful Book” since school started; Pulliam’s class strives to write something they’re thankful for everyday. They have collected quite the list of things they are thankful for this Thanksgiving. Hunter Phillips is thankful for toilet paper. Carson Belter is thankful for turkeys. Sydney Morris is thankful for the world while her twin Vayden Morris is thankful for God. Bailee Tipton is thankful for her mom and dad. Ginger Daphron is thankful for Jesus dying on the cross for us. Kara Sausley is thankful for leaves. Tiffany Ku is thankful for teachers and Daniel Lozano is thankful for school. Hope Sims is thankful for friends and Sophie Saunier is thankful for kittens. Makenzie Larson is thankful for her friend Hope and Kaiden Dawson is thankful to have a dad that plays with him. Sailor Miller is thankful for water and food. Bernard Edwards is thankful for Mrs. Pulliam and Brady Smith is thankful for God and Jesus.

Mrs. Wadsworth’s first grade class chooses the Native American’s perspective during their Thanksgiving feast. Several of her students shared what they’re thankful for this holiday season. Avery Williams is thankful for food and Mrs. Wadsworth, for helping her class learn. Jackson Drake is thankful for his mom and for Mrs. Wadsworth being his teacher.Zoie Garner is thankful for her dog because she’s a baby and for learning how to count backwards. Jordan Kersey is thankful she’s able to read books.
