Steele Jr. High School holds Talent Show
“America’s Got Talent” — and so do the students at Steele Jr. High School. The end-of-year talent show showcased a variety of talents in students and made for a nice break to end-of-school activities. Many students braved the spotlight to perform before their peers and parents. With a wide variety of disciplines, selecting the winners was a real challenge for the judges.
The first place winner in K-5th grade division was Ethan Kennedy with his comedy routine. Second was Addison Bowlin with her gymnastics and third went to Anzlee Farmer who wowed the crowd with her dancing.
The 6th to 8th grade winners all selected vocal numbers for their talent presentations. First place went to Thomas Kennedy, second to Tori Carden and third place to Piper Dobbs. First place winners in both divisions are the sons of Terri and Kenneth Kennedy.
The judges were Angie Cornett, Uniserv Director for SJHS, Nancy Miller-Borg, Steele Town Council Member and Katie Neal, Owner/Occupational Therapist, Alabama Pediatric Therapy Services.
“Congratulations to the winners and all the wonderful participants and thanks to the parents, teachers, coaches, and friends who helped the students prepare for this special afternoon and who came out to support them during the performance,” said Miller-Borg.
